A fragment of Roman (AD 50-175) copper alloy bow brooch. Only a fragment of the bow, the catchplate and the foot survive. It measures 27.0mm in length, 7.45mm wide and 5.45mm thick, it weighs 1.27 grams.
The bow fragment expands towards the foot, it has been bent downwards in the centre. The bow is decorated with vertical grooves. The decoration is worn. The catchplate runs along the majority of the length of the surviving artefact.
