One plate of a medieval copper alloy composite rectangular strap end, a front plate of sheet with a single rivet hole at the scalloped attachment edge. The inner surface i.e. the one facing the leather or textile of the belt has rough diagonal lines made with a rasp like tool. This may have been intended to give it a better grip on the belt.[The photo may be upside down!]
