A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1500-c. 1650 AD).
This buckle is convex at the front and flat at the rear. Both loops are of similar size and shape and both are steeply bevelled on the inner face. The narrowed bar is triangular in cross-section with a small knop at each end. The copper-alloy tapering pin is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear.
The metal is dull reddish brown with patches of a green patina on the frame and pin
