Medieval gilt copper alloy hasp, perforation in rounded upper end containing a bent cut sheet staple, tapers to straight cut at lower end, perforations contain the spiked ends of an inserted cut sheet staple forming a hasp loop on the reverse. The face has an engraved bordering line. Length 38mm. Width 9mm. 1mm thick. Cf. Egan, 1998, 81-4. 14th-15th century.
