Lead flat spindle whorl, this has a voided cross on one side with a large hole in the centre (20mm diameter, height 5mm, weight 11.7g). Plain spindle whorls and weights were cast locally in lead from the Roman period to the Post Medieval Period and are hard to date precisely.
