The wings are semi-cylindrical with wing caps. The wing caps have a hole in the centre which would support the axis bar. There are remains of an iron axis bar in one hole, the other is incomplete. The interior of the wings has iron staining. In the centre of the upper edge of the wings is the remains of a small hook. The bow head is hump-likeand decorated with a central 'W' profilewhich continues along the bow. Either side of this central decoration there is a column of low-relief rings. The bow is semi-circular in section, except for the ridge on the reverse which develops into the solid catchplate. The bow foot is circular in section with a domed knop at the base. There is traces of tinning/silvering on the wings, bow head and bow, otherwise there are traces of a grey/green patina. The axis bar, spring and pin are otherwise missing.
