A copper-alloy bell shaped stud of Allason-Jones type 1 dating to the Roman period.
The upper portion of the head is dish-shaped, its central point marked by a truncated cone with a groove extending around the base. At the base of the dish-shaped portion there is a short, circular-sectioned projection which flares into a wider, circular terminal. On the outer surface a moulded rim and groove extend around the rim of the dish, with a second such moulding at its base. Iron corrosion from the pin is contained within a rectangular-sectioned hole on the head's underside, with further iron corrosion adhering to the outer surface of the object.
