A silver hammered sixpence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603). The coin is dated 1562 above the shield. The mint is London. Obverse shows a crowned bust facing left with a rose behind the head. Inivial mark is a 6-pointed mullet. Obverse legend reads ELIZABETH DG ANG FRA ET HIB REGINA. Reverse shows the shield of the arms of England divided by a cross fourchee. Reverse mark is a 6-pointed mullet. Reverse legend reads POSVI/DEVM AD/IVTORE/M MEVM. Diameter: 25.58mm. Thickness: 0.71mm. Weight: 2.6g. Die axis: 7 0'clock.
