A pair of spectacles, probably of 18th century date, recovered from an old house. The spectacles, which appear home made, comprise a single strip of copper alloy, c 2.10mm wide, bent to form the frames and nose piece. The two junctions are held in place by held by twine and wire. There is no sign of the lenses nor any clear indication of how they were held in place.
