Copper alloy Roman plate brooch. Mackreth (2011)), Plate 2g1. A cast disc with central annulus and a series of six equidistant dots in relief set around it, within a rim. The stubs of a catch plate and pin position remain on the back. A crease makes it appear the brooch has been folded in half, though probably nearly straightened again in antiquity. Suggested date: Roman, 150-300.
