Medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame with an offset, narrowed bar and the the centre of the almost straight outside edge recessed for a sheet roller with multiple longitudinal grooves. The outside protrudes at the sides. Cf. Egan and Pritchard 1991, 288, 298, 301 and 317. 21 x 26.5mm. Width of roller 7mm. 13th - 14th century.
