Medieval copper alloy strap fitting, a plain bar-mount of D-shaped cross-section with two rivet holes, both countersunk on the reverse, one retaining a rivet. Prabably cut from a bar, rather than individually cast, though the ends are quite neatly finished. 4.5 x 23.5mm. Thickness 2.5mm. Rivet length 4.3mm. c.1270 - c.1400.
