An incomplete copper-alloy buckle plate of medieval date. Only the upper plate survives with the most of the loops and all of the lower plate missing. The plate is rectangular in plan, tapering somewhat towards the attachment end. It was secured with three rivets, two alongside one another and close to the loop with the other central and close to the attachment end. The upper surface is decorated with evidence that it was originally gilded. It is similar in form to Egan and Pritchard (1991), p. 75, no. 305 although produced to a much higher standard. It dates to the fourteenth or fifteenth century. It measures 22.96mm in length, 12.25mm in width, 4.87mm in thickness (including the rivets) and weighs 1.35g.
