A complete cast copper alloy Post Medieval mount, probably c. 17th century in date.
The mount is in the form of a scallop shell with a pointed end, decorated with five incised lines. It has an even dark green patina. Two complete integral rivets attached to the back of the mount which are bent.
The mount is 14.9 mm in length, 11.7 mm in width, 1.2 mm thick, 7.2 mm thick including the rivets, and weighs 1.1 grams.
