A group of 3 iron nails of possible Roman date. They were recovered from a known Roman site, and are similar to Type I nails as classified by Manning (1976). Manning's type I are all of square section with wider round, square or pyramidal heads. One of these examples has a flat round head, one a fairly flat pyramidal head, and one has the head missing.
