COIN HOARD

Unique ID: BUC-602882

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Published Find published

This small nummus hoard consists of coins made after the reform of 348. There is nothing of the plentiful coinage of the 320-48 - as is generally the case with other Fel Temp nummus hoards.[1] The Antonine dupondius / as and one modern coin (?18th century) should be treated as stray finds. Not connected to West Wycombe I (2005/T121), an Antonine period denarius hoard.

Disposition

All the coins were corroded; many were fragmentary and most not fully legible. No photographic record at the BM.
