A fragment of a Medieval ceramic vessel; a small wall sherd. The fabric is hard and has a fine texture. It is probably Coal Measures Ware. It is pale orange to grey in colour with a mottled dark brown to purple glaze on the inner face. The surface is pimply with frequent small grey, white and quartz inclusions.
