A cast lead-alloy unifaced token dating to the Post Medieval period, c. 1550-1800 AD. Powell Type 2. The token is decorated on one face with uncertain letters, possibly a backwards-facing L and a regular L. The other face is undecorated.
Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore difficult to date precisely, however tokens with initials or letters are given a general date of c. 1550-1800.
