A cast copper-alloy buckle of Medieval date. 'D-shaped' buckle with narrowed offset bar. Outside edge has moulded decoration with two sets of parallel lines at top and bottom with a small linear groove at the mid-point between. The pin is intact and is formed of a copper-alloy bar with a rectangular cross-section fashioned into a simple loop. It is likely to be of thirteenth or fourteenth century date and is Meols Type 9. It is similar to the buckle in LVPL-D9A344. It measures 20.36mm in length, 30.18mm in width, 3.20mm in thickness and weighs 3.24g.
