A copper-alloy Roman bell shaped stud of Allason-Jones type 1. The upper portion of the artefact takes the form of a stylised flower head, the four petals having been achieved by crimping the angled rim of the circular-sectioned head. The recessed upper surface contained within this rim has a raised boss at its centre. On its outer surface the rim angles inwards, with a circumferential groove located near its base; beneath this is the waisted central portion, which expands into a discoidal base with perimeter groove and an attached remnant of the iron pin at the centre of the its otherwise flat underside.
