An incomplete copper alloy socketed hammer of Middle to Late Bronze Age date. It is sub rectangular in plan and side view and is sub rectangular in cross section with rounded corners. The head of the hammer is convex and damaged. There are no collars or other decoration on the surface which is severely pitted and corroded overall. At the top there is an old irregular break. The incomplete hammer has a length of 52.2mm, width 19.7mm and weighs 73.46g. The sub rectangular socket measures approximately 12.0mm by 11.4mm.
