Post Medieval cast copper alloy 'S' shaped strap or belt fitting in the form of a snake or serpent. It has snake heads with oval eyes and 'eyebrows' at both terminals. There appears to be the remains of heavily worn decoration, or poorly cast, on the central section. It has a sub-oval central cross section, becoming more circular towards the terminals. There are traces of a white metal finish, possibly silver plating. Dates between c1700 and c1930 AD.
