A late medieval silver-gilt finger-ring of D-shaped section. The ring is broken at the point at which the hoop was soldered and joined, and distorted, but otherwise complete. It is decorated with a series of diagonal lines forming triangular spaces, which are filled in with rows of small circular stamped decoration. The gilding survives mainly within the impressed diagonal lines and on the inside of the hoop.

The ring dates from the 15th century.

In terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
