A cast lead spindle whorl of of Roman or later date. It is conical in form with flat top and bottom surfaces and a slight ridge around the base. At the centre is a large circular aperture measuring 8.13mm in diameter. The entire object measures 23.83mm in diameter at base, 12.41mm in height, and 33.56g in weight. This is a lead spindle whorl that may be of any date from the Roman period onwards although perhaps most likely from the Medieval or Post-Medieval periods.
