A cast lead alloy spindle whorl, probably of late medieval or early post-medieval date, AD1400 - 1600. Both sides are flat and both are decorated, the decoration consisting of six evenly spaced ring and dot motifs. It is 23.9mm in diameter and 7.7mm thick. It weighs 28.61gm.
An almost identical whorl can be can be found on the database at reference SOMDOR-DAD883.
