Cast copper-alloy hollow backed circular plate brooch with a raised central boss, having had only four projections only two remains. One of these projections is in the form of a suspension loop, another forms the catch-plate. The design of the raised centre is of a four petalled flower with a red centre circle on a blue ground. There is the remains of the catch-plate and fixing for the pin, but the pin is missing.
This is likely to be the brooch illustrated on p. 55 of The Searcher magazine for May 2000
