Cast copper alloy single-looped, sub-rectangular buckle frame with a narrowed strap bar, concave sides with bifid mouldings, and a rounded outer edge with an elaborate moulded pin notch of three oblique grooves, but missing its pin. The upper face of the frame has patches of black lacquer and the base of the frame is internally bevelled.
Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar buckle frame on page 28, No.146, which is dated from c.1500-1650.
