Roman cast copper alloy Henig Type II finger ring length 32mm, width17mm (at bezel), height 19mm, thickness (at bezel) 3mm, weight 3.57g.
The ring has an oval cross-section which tapers in from the oval bezel to the hoop. An oval recess with narrow sides in the centre of the bezel would have held a stone, intaglio or enamel (now missing). The ring has been gilt.
