Roman gilt copper alloy oval Glass Centre-boss plate brooch, spring, pin and centre-boss missing. Gilding is confined to the front while the reverse is tin-coated. The front face of the flange around the setting is decorated with closely spaced short radial punched impressions. Cf. Hattatt 2000, 364, fig. 223, 172, 641 and 1210. Mackreth's (2011, 161) Plate type 3.b1, cf. plate 107 no. 10863. 27.5 x 21mm. 2nd - 3rd century.
