Discussion: See Hawkins, Medallic Illustrations, i, p. 358, no. 226. It would originally have had a loop top and bottom for attachment and a lug to each side, one of which is still partly visible.

Statement: Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
