Complete cast copper alloy two part buckle frame of post Medieval date, c.1660-1720. The frame is sub-rectangular in plan with rounded ends with slightly incurved sides to the top and bottom of the spindle. The frame is drilled to take a separate spindle; the spindle, pin and chape are now missing. The front of the frame has moulded decoration with a rounded knop to the top and bottom of the spindle and to either side of this vertical grooves and ridges decorating the rest of the frame with some of the ridges decorated further with rows of horizontal ridges running side-to-side giving them a zig-zag profile. The frame is concave on the reverse.
