A fragment of a cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Roman date. It is a Colchester derivative and all that remains is the foot of the bow and the catchplate, the rest is missing due to old breaks. The bow is d-shaped in section and appears to be decorated with two longitudinal lines which terminate just below the break leaving most of the foot undecorated. The catchplate is triangular in shape with a triangular hole. It measures 40.76mm in length, 15.64mm in width, 2.61mm in thickness and weighs 3.82g.
