Copper alloy with gilding, mount. Disc with stamped heraldic style motif comprising a wreath enclosing a heater shaped shield with a deeply incised horizontal triple chevron. This sunken feature has a rough textured surface which would appear suitable as keying for enamel, but no trace of colourant remains. Patches of gilding occur over the whole display face but it is most extensively preserved on the field of the shield, suggesting the chevron motif should be an heraldic colour (i.e. red, green or blue). Now slightly bent and abraded overall. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1700-1800.
