Roman copper alloy buckle, C-shaped flat -sectioned frame with drilled terminals containing separate bar. Fragment of iron pin in the pin-slot of the rectangular plate, folded widthways with the remains of a copper alloy rivet at the sprung attachment-end. The face of the plate is decorated with two large ring-and-dots. Length of frame 34mm. Width of frame 17mm. Length of plate 27mm. Width of plate 14mm. Combined length 36mm. Mid 1st-mid 2nd century.
