A cast lead alloy weight of Medieval to Post Medieval date (1300-1800). The weight is sub-oval/cylindrical in shape with the beginnings of a probable perforation hole which does not run through the entire object. The object is irregular in shape with a slight narrowing in the middle. There are no clear signs of decoration. It is possible this object is an unfinished spindle whorl or similar weight. The object is in fair to poor condition with fragments of the surface having flaked off. It has a light grey to cream patina.
