A medieval gold finger-ring with a square shaped pie-dish bezel. The cast band is narrow and plain, of lentoid section meeting a square bezel measuring 4.6mm by 4.2mm with bevelled lower and upper edges. The bezel is set with a dark green gem stone, possibly an emerald. The band of the hoop is flattened at each end where it meets the bezel, forming a trapezoidal shape with an incised line along its upper side. The upper side of the bezel is also lightly crimped to secure the stone, the bezel and crimped edge are torn on one side.
