A cast lead alloy object of uncertain function dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is shield shaped in plan. On one face of the object is an impression of an imperial orb surmounted by a cross, within an ornamental tressure that has three arches. The rear of the object is decorated with cross-hatching.
The imperial orb is of the type usually found on copper Rose/Orb jettons of Hans Krauwinckel II. These jettons can be dated from AD1586-1635. It has a dark grey patina.
