Post-medieval silver thimble. Separate domed top soldered to almost straight sides, both covered with rows of closley spaced annulets. The side seam is now invisible. Two beaded lines around the base with a plain border between. Stamped internally with a maker's mark CS within a shield.
Height 25mm. Diameter at base 17mm. Weight 10.2g.
Circa 17th century.

The age and precious metal content of this item therefore qualify it as treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
