A copper alloy, post medieval trader's token: a halfpenny, issued by John Twigden of Northampton and dated 1666. It is 18.1mm in diameter and 0.7mm thick. It weighs 1.09gm. John Twigden was mayor of Northampton in 1660. A silver version of this token held in the Northampton Museum was probably a pattern. Reference: Williamson, Trade Tokens Issued in the Seventeenth Century, Volume II, Number 85.
