Post-medieval copper alloy knife end cap of ovoid cross-section, with remains of end of the iron scale tang in a slot at one end. Decoration consists of a pair of longitudinal grooves at the top and the base linked by grooves at both ends and an engraved saltire on both sides. There is an engraved cross on a saltire at the proximal end. Length 13mm. Width 10mm. Thickness 9mm. Depth of slot 4mm. 16th century.
