Medieval copper alloy strap fitting: a sheet strip folded and secured by a globular-headed rivet and (incomplete) circular sheet washer. A pendent loop is suspended within the fold. The sheet strip occupies the role normally played by a hooked bar mount (Egan and Pritchard 1991 fig. 138 nos.1189-1191) and the pendent loop is of the same form as ibid. fig. 138 no.1192. Strip 10.5 x 4.5mm. Loop 14.5 x 11mm. Washer diameter and length of rivet 9mm. Overall height as hung 24mm. 14th century
