Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A complete cast lead alloy token of probable Late Medieval to Post medieval dating (1600 to 1800 AD).

The token is broadly circular in plan. The upper face (obverse) exhibits a six petalled flower, with pellets between each petal (Powell type 1). The lower face (reverse) exhibits a small cross.

The token is a mid grey colour, with an even surface patina. It demonstrates a small degree of abrasion, caused by movement whilst within in the plough soil. A couple of small notches have been removed from the edge, probably by a plough.

The token measures 22.52 mm in diameter and is 1.54 mm thick. It weighs 3.7 grams.
