A cast lead spindle whorl of uncertain date. It is circular in form, conical in section with flattened top and bottom edges. It has an off-centred circular perforation and on the front face are what appear to be the remains of moulded geometric decoration, its precise form uncertain due to the preservation of the object. The entire object measures 30.63mm in diameter, 9.37mm in diameter at perforation, 8.23mm in height/thickness, and 43.65g in weight. This is a relatively simple cast lead spindle whorl that could be of any date from the Roman period onwards, although a later date range seems most plausible.
