A cast copper alloy D-shaped buckle with separate spindle and chape plate, dating to the post-medieval period and probably from a spur. The silver appearance of the buckle is due to tinning, or a high tin content in the copper alloy. The chape plate would have terminated in a curved hook that looped through and secured the spur arm. An almost complete spur with the same tinning to the metal was found nearby and has been recorded separately (BERK-EDAC66). It is likely they are part of the same object. No other details recorded.
