A complete flint notched blade of Mesolithic date (6300-4300 BC). The bladelet is sub-rectangular in profile and spatulate in section. The dorsal surface contains invasive flaking with some ripples of percussion evident from the mesial portion to distal end. There is fine retouch to the left and distal edges and a notched aspect in the left hand edge. There is a small amount of cortex retained on the right hand edge. The ventral surface is invasively flaked and contains a sub-ovate recess in the mesial portion toward the left hand edge.
The flint is a light grey to brown in colour with cream inclusions throughout, the cortex is a light brown in colour.
