A cast lead spindle whorl of Roman or later date. It is conical in form with flat top and bottom surfaces. At the centre is a large circular aperture measuring 11.85mm in diameter. The entire object measures 35.19mm in diameter at base, 18.87mm in height, and 99.79g in weight. This is a lead spindle whorl that may be of any date from the Roman period onwards although perhaps most likely from the Medieval or Post-Medieval periods.
