A fragment of Post Medieval lead alloy window came with fragments of glass dating AD1500 - 1800. The surviving piece of came forms a triangular cell containing the two fragments of thick, clear glass. The came is milled and has the characteristic H-shaped cross-section. The gutter is textured with moulded ribs. There are no visible maker's marks.
Similar window cames are recorded on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database but no other examples with glass still in situ. Other recorded examples include: HESH-8E4337, NLM-E8DB95.
Dimensions: length: 69.50mm; width: 50.02mm; thickness of came holding the glass, it is impossible to take a thickness of the glass: 8.76mm; weight: 44.52g.
