An incomplete copper alloy Anglo-Saxon disc brooch. The upper surface has incised decoration in the form of a ring and dot in the centre, with a second outer ring. The edges of the brooch as damaged which may hide any other decoration, such as another circumferential line, often seen on brooches of this period. The reverse of the brooch is generally flat and retains the remains of a pin hinge lug and some of the catchplate. The iron pin is missing. On both surfaces there are traces of a white metal coating, the brooch having originally been either tinned or silvered. AD 410-600.
