Two coarse, grog-tempered vessel body sherds with a grey core and orange outer may also include some small flecks of limestone or flint. This first body sherd measures 42.77mm long, 46.98mm wide, 10.93mm thick and weighs 25.8gms. The second piece of pottery is similar to the first, but appears to have more calcareous inclusions with the grog temper. This sherd has a grey core with orange outer, but appears to have another layer of brown above the orange on one side. This sherd measures 29.98mm long, 35.48mm wide and weighs 15.5gms. The two sherds may date from the late Roman to through to late Saxon period.
