COIN

Unique ID: SUSS-A5E045

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A copper-alloy slightly dished disc, probably an uninscribed Iron Age bronze unit, c. 60-20 BC. Only vague traces of detail on both sides are discernible, with one face having undulating lines and the other having a raised circle near the centre of the coin. It is clear that the coin has circumferential losses as well as extreme surface wear, making positive identification difficult.
